Posted by Media Outrage on November 11, 2007
In an in-depth interview with AHH heroin legend Frank Lucas who is the subject of many discussions these days in light of the new movie “American Gangster” which Denzel portrays Lucas. Here are the excerpts and Mr. Lucas messae to Jigga man.
AllHipHop.com: Jay-Z recently recorded an album inspired by the movie. He had a line on his song “No Hook” that was talking about you. I’m sure you heard it.
Frank Lucas: No, I haven’t. I don’t listen to Mr. Jay-Z’s music, but please tell me what it is.
AllHipHop.com: He says, “I’m more Frank Lucas than Ludacris” and Ludacris is a rapper. Then he says, “Frank Lucas is cool, but I ain’t trying to snitch.” Now, I know that you on record have addressed that situation, but…
Frank Lucas: Tell that young man to watch his mouth. Please watch his mouth. Tell that young man to please watch his mouth. Mr. Jay-Z, tell him to please watch his mouth. You saw the movie?
AllHipHop.com: I sure did.
[In the movie, Frank provides information that leads to the conviction of crooked cops and Italian drug dealers. Critics say he offered information on others, a charge he denies.]
Frank Lucas: Then you know what I did. You know exactly what I did. It was all in there. And if that’s what you call a snitch, then so be it. To listen to the verse scroll down…

People talk the talk but don’t walk the walk, all rappers are an example of this. I’m no gangster or dealer, but i fight my own corner my own way, however, knowing who to mess with is key in todays society. Jay Z needs a good slap in my opinion as does Sean Coombs, so please tell then all to watch there mouths and pay some respect to those of us who live a lifestyle to which they sing about.

The word gangster has changed so much during the last century. Its gone from being accosiated with the Mafia to being accosiated with just about anyone.
