Persia White tells why she thinks ‘Girlfriends’ isnt as popular as it should be

Persia White from the hit sitcom ‘Girfriends‘ is blaming the media’s lack of attention as the reason that ‘Girlfriends’ is not more popular.
“We always hoped it would get the same kind of credit that other shows like ‘Sex in the City’ got,” White tells Steppin’ Out’s Chaunce Hayden. “But sadly enough, the fact that we’re a female minority show, the press has been really, really hard on us. It has a lot to do with why we don’t get much attention . . . the press has kept us segregated and kept us out of the mainstream.“
