Stripper says Oscar De La Hoya’s people forced her to lie about pics
Posted by Media Outrage on February 27, 2008
Milana Dravnel who is the stripper that had the crazy pics of Oscar De La Hoya chilling in fishnet with boxing gloves on is saying that De La Hoya’s people forced her to come out and say that the pics were altered.
Via Nydailynews:
Oscar De La Hoya sent a team of loyalists to strongarm an ex-stripper into saying embarrassing photos of the champion boxer in fishnet stockings and high heels were fakes, she alleges.
Ex-Scores dancer Milana Dravnel says De La Hoya’s reps sat her down for 90 minutes in a Manhattan deli last September and pressured her to lie about the shocking photos.
Dravnel says she was pressured to sign a statement by lawyer Stephen Espinoza and publicist Glen Buntin, who flew in from California for the meeting.
“I told attorney Espinoza and Bunting more than once that the photographs were authentic and real,” Dravnel wrote in court papers filed yesterday in Manhattan Federal Court.
“I am 22 years old,” Dravnel added. “I immigrated from Russia when I was 12 years old. I did not graduate high school and have only recently obtained my GED. I have no legal training.”
Dravnel is suing De La Hoya for $25 million, claiming he slandered the Siberian beauty by claiming the photos were doctored. She says they are real and were taken in a Philadelphia hotel last year.
Mediaoutrage- SMH at those pics. Why would you dress up like that and how do you alter those? SMH

Tracey Edmonds says Johnny Gill is spreading ‘false gossip and lies’
Posted by Media Outrage on February 27, 2008
This thing is like a bad soap opera you just got to tune in. Monday morning Tracey Edmonds called radio personality Doug Banks to address his recent telephone interview with Johnny Gill, in which he confronted the rumors of a relationship with Eddie Murphy and the disaster wedding that went down on the island with Tracey and Eddie.
Gill denied that he was ever in a homo relationship with Eddie Murphy. Doug Banks told listeners that Tracey had phoned in but was under gag order and couldn’t discuss the issue because of a confidentiality agreement she signed with Eddie at the end of their relationship. (Now that’s deep when you signing gag orders at the end of a relationship, powerful media companies like Harpo usually make employees sign those so you just can’t go and put the secret stuff out in the media, so wow)
However Tracey’s publicist released an official statement regarding Johnny Gill’s comments during the Friday’s interview.
“I was very shocked and disappointed to hear of Johnny Gill’s false spin on the chain of events surrounding our wedding. His outrageous lies were clearly a very desperate and pathetic attempt to clean up his reputation at my expense. I would appreciate it if Mr. Gill would refrain from continuing to spread false gossip and lies to the public, and allow everyone involved to move on with their lives. We all know the real truth.”
Mediaoutrage- That ‘We all know the truth’ line sounds a little suspect as if she is trying to use some sort of written sign language and say that there was some funny ish going on and that it had nothing to do with her allegedly calling Eddie Murphy’s mom a ‘rat b*tch’. SMH if she really said that and then escaped with her lips still on her face.

Bobby Brown gets community service for cocaine possession
Posted by Media Outrage on February 27, 2008
Bobby Brown will not face criminal charges after police said they found a small amount of cocaine in his possession.
Brown’s attorney said Tuesday a Brockton District Court clerk magistrate found no probable cause to issue a criminal complaint, but recommended that Brown volunteer to mentor young people, which Brown wanted to do anyway.
Brown agreed to a year’s community service and his attorney said if no other issues arise over the next year, the matter will be struck from the docket.
The case began when police responding to a disturbance at a Brockton hotel on Dec. 1. They said they found the 39-year-old Brown sitting in an SUV in the parking lot, with cocaine in his possession.
Mediaoutrage- Wonder how many parents will sign their kids up to be mentored by Bobby. SMH

Bishop Thomas Weeks releasing tell all book online
Posted by Media Outrage on February 27, 2008
Bishop Thomas Stomp A Nucca down to the white meat Weeks’s PR firm XXPosure has decided to release his tell all book about his turbulent marriage to Prophetess Juanita Bynum entitled “What Love Taught Me”.
Via eurweb:
According to Weeks, as previously reported in an exclusive interview with EUR’s Lee Bailey, “… Juanita said when she heard about the book she felt like someone had hit her over the head with a bat. It was a very dramatized statement, but I heard it and felt it from a husband’s perspective.” Weeks seemed to still have a heartfelt emotional attachment to his estranged wife.
He held back, but there was a caveat to that choice: XXposure had the right to release the book “if the drama continues.” Bynum has been a consistent no show to appointments, an AP article states, which is holding up legal proceedings in the case. Bynum’s absences were apparently enough agitation to cause Weeks’ representatives to re-issue the book.
Angelo Ellerbe, head of the New York based firm exclaims, “The truth is no longer on strike and Bishop Weeks has been silent far too long. The book speaks the truth — no more drama, no more tears, no more lies. Enough of this ‘confusement’ park! This book must be released!”
“The Cover of What Love Taught Me” depicts a photo of the now forlorn lovers dancing at their wedding with a rip between them, a metaphor for the permanent erosion of their relationship.
Mediaoutrage- Well at least it wasn’t him who gave the greenlight to release it.

Michael Jackson faces forced sale of Neverland
Posted by Media Outrage on February 27, 2008
Michael Jackson’s famed Neverland Ranch in California will be foreclosed and sold on March 19 unless the pop star pays a balance of nearly $25 million, property records showed on Tuesday.
Jackson has been formally apprised of the foreclosure and that legal documents have also been filed with the Santa Barbara County Recorder’s office.
“You are in default of a deed of trust …,” Jackson was told in the five-page filing. “Unless you take action to protect your property it may be sold at a public sale.”
According to the documents, if Jackson fails to pay the outstanding balance, estimated at $24.5 million, Neverland would be sold to the highest bidder at a public auction on the courthouse steps.
Jackson has owned Neverland since 1988.

Female mayor fired for pics in bra and panties
Posted by Media Outrage on February 27, 2008
The Mayor of the small town Arlington, Oregon Carmen Kontur-Gronquist has been stripped of her duties because of the above picture that a relative posted on a Myspace page.
Via Foxnews:
Voters in Arlington, population about 500, voted narrowly on Monday night to recall Carmen Kontur-Gronquist.
The tally was 142-139. City officials said the recall is effective Tuesday.
Kontur-Gronquist said the pictures of her in black bra and panties were taken for use in a contest about fitness, but a relative posted them on MySpace in hopes it would improve the social life of the single mother.
They predated her election, but she said she saw no reason to take them off the popular Web site once elected three years ago. Later, she closed access to them.
Opponents said it wasn’t fitting for the mayor to be so depicted. They said they also disagreed with her on issues about water and the local golf course.
Mediaoutrage- SMH that she didn’t take the pics down after she was elected. We’re willing to bet that 499 of those votes to remove her were from women. Women don’t want their men at home using the vaseline and fantasizing about anyone but them, so you know that little scrawny ass blond hair thing was getting the boot.
