”I have to stay true to who I am’, says Disney star Raven-Symoné, 22, regarding her new self-titled CD, which is slated for release April 29. ‘I am not going to sing about sex, drugs and violence, that’s just not who I am’, she continues. As she prepares for the CD’s release and a 55-city Pajama Party concert tour, the confident and talented entertainer hopes this project will fill a void in today’s music. We need some music that will open people’s minds up and give them other things to think about other than the same things we have been giving them for a while. Maybe my album can do that.’

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has signed on to star in and produce the indie movie Frankie and Alice, a psychological drama in which she plays a character with multiple-personality disorder. In a twist, the character’s alter-ego is a racist white woman.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!! Keshia Knight Pulliam can dust off those acting skills and jump into a movie…say what?!?! Yes a movie. Tyler Perry being the good brotha that he is has cast Keshia into his next film Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail, in which she will play a prostitute. Hey at least she’ll be showing versatility because we know her pockets are probably going to be good forever because of her role on the Cosbys but it’s just good to move on from this 16 year hiatus.

Ashanti denied internet rumors that emerged yesterday saying that her latest song ‘Way That I Love You’ was directed at supposed boyfriend Nelly. Here’s what she had to say….

Is sexy songstress Ashanti’s new video for her song “Way That I Love You” a kiss-off to rumored boyfriend Nelly? After all, in the video, a knife-wielding Ashanti gets sweet revenge on a cheating ex.

Ashanti says, “It’s not!” She explains, “I wrote that record last summer … The song is just about real life. It’s for every woman who has gone through it.”

But that doesn’t mean the songbird hasn’t experienced the heartache of a good relationship gone bad due to infidelity. “Definitely,” says Ashanti, who turns to Mary J. Blige’s “Not Gonna Cry” to help her through breakups. “It’s a rude awakening when you get used to being happy, but it’s a part of life. I didn’t kill the person!”

Some of the song’s lyrics do ring true, though. “Of course I’ve snooped! Before [sidekicks] came out, I was snooping through regular cell phones, Skytel, everything! Whatever he had out, I was all in it!”

And as for the current status of her relationship with Nelly? “We’re really, really good friends.”
