We recieved an interesting email this morning from one of our readers about her experience a few years ago when she met washed up actress Countess Vaughn. Here’s what our reader tells us about her encounter with Countess:
Hi MediaOutrage Staff,
I love the site and read it every morning at work. You guys even got me checking it out on Saturdays and Sundays ( i feel like a sinner lol). I wanted to share with you an experience that I had with actress Countess Vaughn years ago when she was still on the Parkers. Her career is nothing now and it serves her right because she is a rude b*tch.
I was in Philly years ago at Fridays with my niece who was 9 at the time, and we saw Countess dining with a few of her friends and my niece kept asking me to take her to her table to get an autograph. I didn’t want to because I hate to look like a star struck fan and plus I wasn’t cause she was a nobody to me. But I took my niece over to her table and spoke to everyone and introduced my niece and told her that she was a huge fan of Countess’. I told her that we were sorry for interupting her dinner but my niece wanted an autograph really bad before we left. Countess didn’t even acknowledge us. She looked at me with a look like “why is she standing here?” She didn’t sign an autograph for my niece nor did the b*tch even speak or waive. I wanted to beat her ass right there on the spot but my girlfriend grabbed me and pulled me away and we paid our bill and left. I never forgot that EVER! She didn’t have to speak to me I’m grown but you don’t do a little girl like that. Her people at the table spoke to us and my niece. Thought I would share this with you M.O.

Mediaoutrage- Wow. That’s trifling. SMH in utter disgust. Yea you don’t children like that. Then again, if you’re on TV you don’t do anyone that watches your dusty ass show, like that. This bitch been washed up since 227!!! Lmao I have met a few “stars” and they do act pretty aloof. But that day I met DMX at Lenox mall he was in a heated convo wit an associate and I know I was interrupting, but I didn’t believe it was him, so I asked. I go, excuse me, but are you DMX? And he stopped his convo and addressed me and said yes he is. Then he apologized for being in a bad mood but he was havin a rough day. The mall ppl had just put him out the mall because all the customers were makin a scene because he is a star. I said, I understand y u are upset, but I only wanted to meet you, as I love your music. He says, thanx, ma. And he seemed a lil calm downed after out lil convo. So I said, great meeting you, and we left. That lil moment made me and my daughters day as we love all his music. He was gracious, polite, and charming. Perfect gentleman.

Naw, I take that back. She used to be on Moesha too back in the day. So I think what happened was what happens to a lot of stars. We call it “sidekick syndrome.” She was Moesha sidekick. Then Monique sidekick for years. After yrs of playin a sidekick, no one will give you a leading role! It happened to Carlton from Fresh Prince and Phylicia Rashad from the Cosby show. So if you ever get a role as a sidekick, don’t play that role too long…

There is no reason to be rude to kids I agree but lets be real sometimes stars just want to have dinner uninterrupted. Think about it this way none of us have to worry about someone always wanting something from us. You can have dinner in a restaurant without having anyone asking for anything. I have seen plenty of stars and I treat them the same as I would treat you…keep it walking. Its our responsibility to teach our children that stars are just people and they are not the characters they play on tv.

I was a fan of countess, but to deny a child an autograph that’s very sad.God does not like ugly the same way u made it top u can easily be put back at the bottom. I met Malik Yoba for all those who don’t know who he is, he played a cop in the tv series New York Undercover back in da days and more recently he played a husband on “Why did I get Married Too” Anyway I met MALIK at Circuit City when it was alive and he was in front of me at the counter with a girl and I went up to him to say wow aren’t you Malik Yoba and he didn’t even really answer me and I was like can I have your autograph and he gave me his autograph without saying a word but his body language was nasty towards me and I was like thank you after I left Circuit City I thought about it and how he responded to me and I ripped up the autograph and threw it away, NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I ASK FOR A CELEBRITY’S AUTOGRAPH with their nasty stank asses.

For one a person should realize ,when they become famous these are the type of things they should expect to happen. Nunber two , we the celebrities are the ones who made them famous.
