Janet Jackson Covers Gotham Magazine
Posted by Media Outrage on January 18, 2010
Janet Jackson covers Gotham Magazine in all sexy splendor. Are you feelin’ the cover? Peep what Janet had to say about moving on in life…
“When you hear people say life goes on, it’s really the truth. You can’t stop living. It becomes a part of you. I feel a bit selfish because there are times I feel I shouldn’t be doing this, but I enjoy my work and I have to keep doing it. I have to keep my life going. There are days that are harder than others.”
“I want to learn a language. I haven’t decided which, but it’s between French, Spanish and Italian. I also want to get closer to God.”
“It’s going to be a little different. The writing is about life experiences. There’s a part of me that’s craving escapism, which is a sense of wanting to keep on moving with my work but also of coming to terms.”

Old photos from ‘Discipline’ era, but cotdamnit! I love this woman!
I get what she says. Rarely do people REALLY ENJOY their jobs. And this is me speaking on behalf of myself. I don’t hate it, but it’s just a job. I can recall Aaliyah stating the same sentiment: to have a job you really love, well it’s just a blessing (sic). So I’m glad Janet enjoys what she does (because that means I can enjoy what she does too! LOL).
Learning a new language. I’m already on that steeze. It was part of my 2010 to-do list. I’m brushing up on my ‘espanol’ and I want to eventually learn Italian and Portuguese (as they are close to Spanish, being romance languages and all). Good luck to her with French. For me, that’s a beast of a different nature. LOL
Writing! WRITING! I could do for another Janet or Velvet Rope…go ahead Miss Jackson.

Janet is a good woman, a very good entertainer, and has it going on all the time. She deeply loved her brother Michael, and she’s right you have to keep keeping on and keep your mind occupied. Time does heal all wounds. Kep up the good work Ms Jackson.

It would have been nice if it wasn’t overly photoshopped.

All hail the magic of photoshop.
The dress is beautiful but the heavy weave and linebacker jawline are not flattering IMO. It’s crazy when plastic surgery no longer enhances one’s beauty, but begins to overshadow it. I prefer the old, semi natural Janet.
