Nicki Minaj took her barbie doll steeze over to kick it with the kids on 106 & Park yesterday afternoon when they debuted her “Massive Attack” video. One thing is for sure – extreme fashion styles seem to win in the music industry.

Lamman Rucker who is eye-candy for the ladies was in a suit that appeared to have football shoulder pads at last night’s NY premiere of “Why Did I Get Married Too?” It will be interesting to see what kind of direction his character travels in part 2, being that he was the knight in shining armour in the first. Your boy Malik Yoba was extra careful not to forget his chapstick… Read the rest of this entry »

Malik Yoba had plenty of chapstick on hand when he attended the Men Style Awards in NYC at the 40/40 the other night. Where do you rank Malik’s acting skills? We’re waiting for April to roll around so we can check out Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? Yoba will be resurrecting his role as Janet’s husband in the film. Malik Yoba used to be the ashiest dude on television point blank. He hit up a Pepsico Frito Lay party with no lotion for his poor hands in sight. Ladies could he get the digits wearing a nice coating of chapstick, of course? Peep Rocsi and more Malik Yoba when you Read the rest of this entry »

Tuesday night December 2, Oprah Winfrey set Manhattan ablaze with her powerful prescence. Susan L. Taylor and more than 300 of friends, family, and supporters all gathered together at New York’s City’s ESPACE for an evening of celebration and fundraising, and guess what, yep the staff of MediaOutrage.com was invited to cover the festivities.
The event honored the spiritual guidance and community leadership Susan provided to millions of readers during her 37-year career as Editor-in-Chief of Essence Magazine, and raised funds for her National CARES Mentoring Movement (NCMM).
During the evening Oprah Winfrey donated the first $500,000 and then said “Susan I believe you are going to need to hire more than 2 employees, so I’m giving you another $500,000.” Yep, you can guess how that sent the crowd into a well deserved standing ovation. Everyone’s jaw in the place dropped. Everyone from Oprah, Gayle King, Malik Yoba, Common, Roland Martin (CNN), legendary actress Ruby Dee, Salt of Salt and Peppa (who was looking good as hell in person lol) and more were in the building. We will have more coverage in a minute but for now enjoy a few of our exclusive pics. A major thanks to The Terrie Williams Agency for throwing such a splendid affair. Thanks Michelle!

Lil’ Kim, Rocsi, Valeisha Butterfield, LL, Bow wow, Spike and Tonya Lee, Malik Yoba, Dikembe Mutombo, Fab, Ice T and Coco, and Russell Simmons all came under one roof to celebrate the upcoming election. It’s great to see so many celebs have taken part in this critical election. Props to Russell Simmons who has always tried to encourage young people to utilize their political voice. The Obama shirt that LL is holding is hilarious. We love it!

Michael Jai White, and Malik Yoba who back in his days of “New York Undercover” looked like he wasn’t aware that chapstick existed, hit up the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s 21st Anniversary Award Gala last night. Mekhi Phifer, Nia Long, and Sharon Leal also were in the building for the festivities. We must say that both Nia and Sharon look great. NIa just seems to become more bangin’ with age.
