Being that the presidential election is now just 8 days away, we decided to explain to some of you who may not understand what it is and how it works. The popular vote does not elect the President of the United States. Each state has a certain amount of electoral votes that are cast for the candidates. Each candidate needs 270 electoral votes to get elected.
