Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

About Beyonce’s crotch…

“We’ve seen the magic box. I give her five stars. You can only get seven. You can only get seven if you slept with me. Shout out to Beyonce.”

About a possible Kelis tape…

“I told you somebody called me, trying to sell me a tape of Kelis. I don’t have issues with Nas to the point where I want to do that to him. I think he’s a sucker sometimes, like the decisions that he makes are sucker moves.”

About the double slap salute in Jay Z’s new Roc Boys video…

“If I see you do a salute towards me, I’m a smack the @#!* out you,” 50 joked. “I’m not with all that fancy sh-t.”

Barack takes lead from Hillary in New Hampshire

Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

Clinton Obama

Hillary Clinton’s once favorable New Hampshire lead has quickly vanished. Barack Obama  who has been hated on more than a few occasions this week by Hillary Clinton’s aides now holds a 1 percent lead in the crucial primary state. The numbers read Obama 32 percent, Clinton 31 percent, and John Edwards (who should just bow out now before he gets bull dozed) a mere 15 percent support among likely Democratic voters.

With Oprah behind him and his rising approval in the public the Clinton camp is definitely scared and resorting to desperate mudslinging tactics.

The investigation is continuing.

Mary J Blige:”Umbrella” was offered to me before Rihanna

Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

Mary J. Blige says that the hit song “Umbrella” was shopped to her before they even considered pitching it to Rihanna. But Blige says…

“I’m not going to chase what [mainstream] fans like. It might work for a Mariah. It might work for even a Beyoncé. But Mary J. Blige is looked at as some sort of organic thing.”

Well we don’t know it might have worked out best that Rihanna got it and then Jay jumped on it.

Alicia Keys does Giant Magazine

Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

Alicia Keys

Alicia KeysAlicia Keys

Alicia Keys is on the cover of Giant Magazine this month. She had some interesting things to say regarding relationships, how she manages to stay out of the eye of the gossip tabloids.

Why she thinks she’s been able to stay out of the tabloids:

“I guess the way I roll is really low-key,” she says with a shrug and then concedes, “I guess it is pretty amazing. I was looking at a magazine earlier and thinking, ‘How is it that two people are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and there’s a picture of them there?’ Like, seriously, how does somebody know when you’re gonna be on a boat in the middle of the ocean? That’s crazy!”

(Everybody she is talking about Jay Z and Beyonce being on the boat in the middle of the ocean)

Why Keys is so secretive:

“My mom wears her emotions on her sleeve. She can’t hide how she feels,” Keys says. “That’s why I’m so reserved ’cause she’s so external.”

About a rumored romance with her producer

“That’s what they’ve been saying for a while now, but I don’t usually address that question. Oprah told me never to tell – and I can’t disobey Oprah!”

Does anyone have the Keys to her kingdom?

“I definitely found my partner,” she says. “I know he is somebody who will always be special to me and that we’re always going to be in each other’s lives.”

Keys says she even tends to be secretive within a relationship – at least at first. “It’s my nature to let them show me who they are first before I show them who I am,” she says. “But once I’m in love with somebody, I’m the best girlfriend you could ever have.”

Rev. Al Sharpton denounces federal investigation

Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

Al Sharpton

The Rev. Al Sharpton on Thursday angrily denounced reports of an investigation into his 2004 presidential bid and suggested that federal authorities were retaliating against him for his civil rights advocacy.

I have probably been under every investigation known to man and I can’t remember a time that I’ve not been under investigation,” Sharpton said at the Harlem headquarters of his civil rights organization.

He continued: “The issues raised are issues that we’ve learned over and over again, particularly when we are approaching an election season.

Sharpton said he thought the timing of the investigation was suspicious, coming just weeks after he led a march on the Justice Department to demand federal intervention in the Jena Six case in Louisiana and better enforcement of hate crimes.

As many as 10 Sharpton associates were subpoenaed Wednesday to testify before a federal grand jury in Brooklyn on December 26, his lawyer told the Daily News.

This definitely sounds like a governmental tactic to throw dirt on Rev. Sharpton’s name and credibility and slow down his civil rights actions.

Kobe says he’s glad he wasn’t traded

Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant has completely changed his tune from demanding a trade to “I’m happy to be here.” See what a difference winning makes in a competitive athlete.

“I’m happy to be here,” Bryant said. “My guys and I — we have such a tight bond. Business and basketball sometimes can cloud things, but when you get here in your element and you’re around your teammates and just having a good time with them and thinking about them and not about the business of the game, that’s when it becomes fun.”

When asked if he no longer wanted the Lakers to trade him, he essentially gave a no comment, saying, “I don’t get into that stuff.”

“I don’t think the wins we’ve had are a fluke whatsoever,” Bryant said. “In our locker room, we don’t feel like the wins we’ve had are flukes. We’ve had to grind some out and go into tough places and deal with injuries and illnesses. We feel pretty good about where we’re at.”

Asked if he believes the Lakers are legitimate contenders in the Western Conference, he said:

“We’re very young and we have a lot of growth to do and a lot of maturing to do,” he said. “But we’re okay.”

There is a sense of relief around the Lakers organization right now, if not because the storm surrounding Kobe is over then at least because it’s subsided substantially. In hindsight, Bryant believes all the drama that engulfed himself and the club throughout the off-season and training camp has actually become a positive. It was a harsh reminder that just making the playoffs is not enough.

“Sometimes you have to kind of put a fire to them a little bit so that they understand that we’re playing for higher stakes,” Bryant said of his teammates. “Once they understood that and saw me come into training camp saying ‘Look, I’m tired of playing for the playoffs. I’m not playing for that. I don’t know what you guys are playing for, but I’m not playing for that.’ Once they understood that ‘Hey, this guy’s head is on a championship level, this is where we need to get,’ then it kind of ignited another side of them and they started looking at this thing a little differently.

“I think it changed their perspective a little bit and kind of shifted their focus to ‘Okay, he’s playing for a championship so this is what we need to do.”

But Bryant’s teammates aren’t the only ones who’ve undergone an attitude adjustment. The other Lakers say Bryant’s been more sociable than ever off the court, joining teammates for lunch before road games and things like that.

So maybe we won’t hear any more trade demands from Kobe.

Michael Jordan won’t have to pay $5Million to ex-lover

Posted by Media Outrage on December 14, 2007

Via the Chicagotribune:

A state Appellate Court ruled Wednesday in favor of Michael Jordan in his dispute with a former lover who contends that the retired superstar owes her $5 million.

Karla Knafel said Jordan promised her the money for remaining silent and agreeing not to file a paternity suit after she learned she was pregnant in 1991.

Jordan denied making the promise and sued Knafel in 2002, alleging that she was trying to extort money from him. DNA tests later showed that Jordan was not the father of the child.

The 1st District Appellate Court in Chicago ruled Wednesday that even if Jordan made the agreement, the deal was unenforceable because Knafel had misled him about whether he was the child’s father. The ruling affirmed a trial judge’s decision last year.

Knafel knew she had sex with another man about the time of conception, and “her failure to disclose the information … amounts to a failure to act in good faith,” Judge Mary Jane Theis wrote for a three-judge panel.

Knafel’s lawyer Blake Hannafan said Wednesday that he was surprised by the decision and will ask the Illinois Supreme Court to review the case.

Well at least Mike wins this one being that ex-wife Juanita and mother of his 3 children just scored a victory over Mike in what is now the Richest celebrity divorce ever.
