Jay-z Beyonce and Kanye at the game

Posted by Media Outrage on January 10, 2008

Jay Beyonce Kanye

Jay Beyonce and Kanye were court side last night in Jersey for the Nets and Supersonics game. That’s a lot of money sitting right there. Between the three of them combined they are worth at least $380million. Jay is worth a reported $268million last time we checked and we know Beyonce is carrying her own weight now after a super platinum Destiny’s Child albums, her two solo releases, movies, countless endorsements and world tour she has to be worth at least a good $50million and we are under guessing here. Kanyeezee’s probably good for $20million at least. So yea a lot of money sitting in those 3 seats.

Oprah leaves stedman out of her will???

Posted by Media Outrage on January 10, 2008

MSNBC is reporting that Oprah recently made out her will and allegedly left out her longtime mate Stedman Graham. Here’s what they said….

“Fearing that her estimated $2 billion fortune would be squandered in the event of her untimely passing, Oprah Winfrey’s leaving nothing to chance. The talk-show titan recently prepared her will, and according to the National Enquirer, she’s left a significant someone out of it completely.

Charities and yet-to-be adopted children stand to benefit the most from the enormous estate, while Stedman Graham, O’s partner for the last 21 years, allegedly won’t see a dime.

Someday, Oprah plans to adopt three daughters and raise them alone, an insider told the Enquirer. “It’s something she has always wanted to do,” said the source. “There’s no talk of her adopting the children with Stedman — this is something she’s going to do by herself.”

Well that’s better than hearing that $2billion is going to her dogs.

Via AP:

Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for the White House Thursday in a timely slap at Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton as well as his own vice presidential running mate.

Quoting a black American hero in endorsing the man who hopes to be the first black president, Kerry told a cheering crowd, “Martin Luther King said the time is always right to do what is right.” Now is the time, Kerry said, to declare “that Barack Obama can be, will be and should be the next president of the United States.

Persia White tells why she thinks ‘Girlfriends’ isnt as popular as it should be

Posted by Media Outrage on January 10, 2008

Persia White

Persia White from the hit sitcom ‘Girfriends‘ is blaming the media’s lack of attention as the reason that ‘Girlfriends’ is not more popular.

We always hoped it would get the same kind of credit that other shows like ‘Sex in the City’ got,” White tells Steppin’ Out’s Chaunce Hayden. “But sadly enough, the fact that we’re a female minority show, the press has been really, really hard on us. It has a lot to do with why we don’t get much attention . . . the press has kept us segregated and kept us out of the mainstream.

Dealer takes his art back from scott storch

Posted by Media Outrage on January 10, 2008

Scott Storch

It seems like producer Scott Storch’s ballin days might just be about over. Last month it was reported that he was having financial problems and now a $7,500 painting has been confiscated by the artist who claims that Storch never paid him and ignored and refused to return his phone calls asking for payment.

Via Pagesix:

South Beach gallery owner Dmitry Prut says he recently paid a visit to Storch’s Miami mansion to get back a $7,500 painting.

“It’s a beautiful pop culture piece of a girl raising her skirt by Amir Aziz. He said he loved it, so I gave it to him, along with an invoice” said Prut. “He had it hanging in his billiards room for four months and ignored my calls to please pay me for the piece.” But when Storch never came up with the cash, Prut says he drove over and buzzed his gate: “His security guy answered and went on about how much Scott loves it, but I said, ‘I have to pay my own bills.’ His security brought it right out to me and that was that. I returned it to my gallery.” Storch’s rep did not return our calls.

That’s so messed up when cats with money just leave you hanging and don’t want to pay for your stuff. How do you get rich and then want even more free stuff than you did when you were broke? SMH. Well Scott Storch gave Lindsay Lohan a $1million friendship ring a little while ago. Can we say trickin? What words comes to mind? B-I-G-D-U-M-M-Y

Dionne Warwick gets jacked for $100,000 worth of jewelry

Posted by Media Outrage on January 10, 2008

Dionne Warwick

$100,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from Dionne Warwick’s hotel room in Rome at the posh Hotel De Russie placing her on a list of entertainers that have been jacked.

Via Pagesix:

Dionne was getting ready for her concert at Rome’s Sistina theatre, and like she always does, laid out her gown on the bed and jewelry on the table, her rep Kevin Sasaki told us. “She went downstairs to meet up with someone real quick. She locked the door and went downstairs and came back and everything was gone. She was surprised, I mean this happened at one of the most high-end luxury hotels–and she’s going to take issue with that. I don’t know if she’s going to sue the hotel but she’s definitely going to discuss this with her attorney.”

“These are pieces of jewelry that weren’t costume jewelry,” he told us. The stolen goods include custom-designed pieces, a Rolex watch, a diamond ring, earrings and a necklace.

The 67-year-old singer is on a world tour and is performing in Italy for another two weeks. When asked if she was still staying at the Hotel De Russie, the rep said, “Well, it’s the host hotel for this leg of the tour, and when you’re at the top hotel and this happens, what are you going to do? She may switch suites. Obviously the security at the hotel needs to be looked at.”

“It was a big shock and surprise to her that this could happen in a hotel like that,” the rep said. “The trooper that she is, she went on and did the show, I think she even mentioned what happened on stage.”

Somebody is looking for a pawn shop in Rome right now.

Accuser sues Remy Ma for $80million

Posted by Media Outrage on January 10, 2008

Remy Ma

Remy Ma’s accuser has now upgraded her lawsuit from $20million to $80million. She’s wildin for thinking that she will even get a fraction of that, anyway back to the news. Makeda Barnes-Joseph maintains that Remy Ma shot her twice in the abdomen on the night of July 14th for allegedly stealing $2,000 out of her purse.

Via AHH:

“Universal Music Group and Sure Shot Recordings are are also named in the suit for helping cultivate Remy’s image.

Joseph’s attorney Lauren P. Raysor issued a statement to the Voice, which said, “Only by pursuing those who we believe are legally responsible for this vicious and callous act of violence, can we hope to put an end to this senseless cycle of violence that is glorified by Hip-Hop marketing.”

The wounds Joseph sustained from the shooting have resulted in three surgeries and frequent hospital visits.

Remy Ma’s lawyer said that the suit shows Joseph’s true motivation. Remy’s attorney Ivan Fischer told reporter Chloé A. Hilliard, “It strikes me that this is part of a publicity stunt. The claims she makes are inaccurate. She reaches into every conceivable deep pocket…It’s grossly irresponsible.”

This suit is an upgrade from a similar suit levied last month in the sum of $20 million.

Remy Ma has proclaimed in innocence in the shooting case.”

$80 million??? She’s grasping but then again if that really took place and she is handicapped from that then she deserves loot.
