Queen Latifah’s ready to ‘take it to that ass’

Posted by Media Outrage on January 16, 2008

Queen Latifah and Jeanette

Queen Latifah is heated with the tabloid media and bloggers for supposedly writing untrue things about her. Her words…..

“They are actually starting to p**s me off. I haven’t been brutalised like some people… but you feel taken advantage of.This year, if somebody prints something about me, I’m ready to take it to their ass because it’s just not fair. I’m tired of hearing from my family members, `Did you say this?’ When somebody calls my family, that’s what concerns me. I have little brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews who are not so media savvy as me. They are not so thick skinned with this business, so these reports bother them. That’s when I really want to go for somebody’s throat, legally with lawyers and all. And I will.”

Ike Turner died of a cocaine overdose

Posted by Media Outrage on January 16, 2008

Ike Turner

The medical examiner has ruled that Ike Turner’s death was the result of a cocaine overdose, and that hypertensive and cardiovascular disease and pulmonary emphysema were significant and contributing factors.

“We are listing that he abused cocaine, and that’s what resulted in the cocaine toxicity,”The medical examiner’s office also listed hypertensive cardiovascular disease and pulmonary emphysema as “significant and contributing factors” to Turner’s death, Parker said.

Turner’s daughter, Mia, said she was surprised by the coroner’s assessment. She said her father’s emphysema was at such an advanced stage that he was on oxygen and extremely weak in the last days of his life.

“He just couldn’t – he’d gone at the time of his death four or five days without doing anything, and if he’d done anything, it would have been so minimal,” Mia Turner said. “He was too weak from the emphysema to do anything. He’d go in the studio for a couple of minutes and play a couple of bars and say he had to go lay down.”

She said she had not yet spoken to her father’s doctors about to coroner’s findings.

Via People:

After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. according to a source, the honeymoon got off to a rocky start.

“Eddie started yelling at Tracey in front of people,” says one of Edmonds’s wedding guests. “He did it on a few occasions and it was very embarrassing.”

Wow it’s just over like that. Interesting.

OJ’s bail doubled to $250,000

Posted by Media Outrage on January 16, 2008

An angry judge doubled OJ’s bail to $250,000 today after he (stupidly) violated his bail terms by leaving a message on his bail bondsman’s phone asking that he deliver a message to one of the co-defendants.

The stupid voice message left by OJ-

“I just want, want C.J. to know that … I’m tired of this (expletive),” Simpson was quoted as saying. “Fed up with (expletives) changing what they told me. All right?”

What the Judge had to say to OJ

“I don’t know Mr. Simpson what the heck you were thinking — or maybe that’s the problem — you weren’t,” Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass told Simpson.

“I don’t know if it’s just arrogance. I don’t know if it’s ignorance. But you’ve been locked up at the Clark County Detention Center since Friday because of arrogance or ignorance — or both.”

Glass said that the initial court order to not contact other defendants was clear and she warned that if anything else happened Simpson would be locked up.

LaLa and Ciara

Ciara and LaLa were at the Hawks vs Nuggets game last night in Atlanta. We must say those are some big ass bags. They could almost look alike. Jermaine Dupri was also spotted at the game. Whatever happened to the reports that he was going to be named Def Jam’s new President after Jay stepped down?

Necole Bitchie speaks:This is something that all bloggers should read!!!

Posted by Media Outrage on January 16, 2008

Necole Bitchie

Celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie, someone who is quickly catching fire and the attention of the masses on the internet, had some very interesting and insightful things to say in an indepth interview with celebrity gossip site Blogxilla. Here’s are some excerpts…..

Necole’s words….

Back in 05 before Ne-Yo came out he saw me at work and he asked “Are you doing what you want to do in life.” And I’m like “shoot I don’t know…I think…” He responded “ You need to be doing what you want to do.” Then he says “If I die tomorrow, I would atleast be able to say that I died doing what I was destined to do in life”. That really hit home and it’s always stuck with me.

Any final words for this week?

Two words: DO YOU! I think a lot of people fall short of achieving their goals or doing what is true to them in life because they are scared of what other people may think. We get tied down by jobs we hate and see no real progression because of the fear of failing and people telling us “I told you so”. You are going to have people that tell you that what you want in life can not be achieved only because they are envious that you are even trying when they may have given up. You will have people that tell you that you shouldn’t go for it, just because they care about you enough that they don’t want to see you fail. But at the end of the day it’s about what is real to you and what you want. Don’t let anyone live your life for you. Do what’s real to you. Last but not least, Never Sell Your Soul for a Dollar.

Mediaoutrage– Necole had some very interesting things to say in her interview and we definitely wanted to post this for our readers as we enjoy taking a break from the jokes and celebrity news postings to give you some good relevant substance. Many celebrities and people in general have long ignored the power and influence of bloggers. But with the recent cult like following of addicted internet surfers to sites such as Mediatakeout, Concreteloop, SandraRose, Bossip, PerezHilton, and many more the mainstream media has begun to pay very close attention and even try to emulate. Teenagers don’t surf CNN, Foxnews, or Yahoo! but they are obsessed with their favorite gossip, sites that not only entertain them but also inform. It’s always good to give props where props are do. We understand that blogging is a profession for many as they hope to rise into that coveted mainstream status like the aforementioned blogs, but it’s good to recognize talent and appreciate a good site. And as you grind to grow just remember that these sites, that are now household names did not start off that way, it took time, patience, and hard work, and perseverance. So big props to Necole Bitchie for doing her thing and securing a growing and loyal audience. Their are a lot of other sites that we really dig over here at little ol Mediaoutrage. We absolutely love StyleRazzi! Their commentary is hilarious. Ahotmess is funny as hell also. So who knows maybe we will start interviewing a few of these great blogs so they can speak to their fans the same way Necole Bitchie did hers. You doing your thing Necole.
