Terrell Owens owes the Eagles over $700,000

Emotional Dallas wide receiver Terrell Owens still owes his former team The Philadelphia Eagles $769,120.

The reason: An arbitrator ruled in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles last Friday on a grievance that was filed by the NFL players’ union on Owens’ behalf in 2005, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday, citing a league source.

The union disputed the Eagles’ effort to recover $1.725 million of the $2.3 million signing bonus the team paid the wide receiver when it signed him to a seven-year, $48.97 million deal in 2004.

Owens was kicked off the team seven games into the 2005 season for a series of infractions, including repeated criticism of quarterback Donovan McNabb and lashing out against management. He was suspended four games without pay and the team withheld his final five paychecks, totaling $955,880. That means Owens still owes the Eagles $769,120.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said this month he plans to pay Owens a $3 million roster bonus, so the All-Pro should have some extra cash to pay the Eagles.

Tyra Banks is launching another reality show

Posted by Media Outrage on January 30, 2008

Tyra

Little Oprah just keeps making moves. Tyra is launching another show in April.

The CW has green-lighted an untitled fashion-magazine reality series from Tyra Banks and Ken Mok, the duo behind the network’s No. 1 show, “America’s Next Top Model.”

The series has received an eight-episode order and will begin production in April for a launch in late spring or summer. The show, which the CW unofficially describes as “The Devil Wears Prada” meets “The Assistant,” is eyed as a potential companion piece for “Top Model.”

“It is a competition show about aspiring assistants looking to become assistant editors at a fashion magazine,” Mok said. “At the same time they’re trying to prove themselves as aspiring fashionistas, that they have a sense of style and savvyness, all the things to make it in the fashion world.”

In each episode, the contestants will compete in two challenges, an individual competition and a team competition, in which each squad will submit a page for “The Book,” a mock edition of the magazine. The losing team’s page will end up in the trash, and one of its team members will be eliminated. The page from the other team will be included in “The Book.” The winner of the competition will land a job in the fashion industry.

The producers are in negotiations with a real fashion magazine to host the contestants, and its editors will help judge the challenges.

John Edwards

After catching a political ass whooopin in his own home state of South Carolina to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, John Edwards is making the sensible decision to drop out of the race with dignity before this thing gets any worse. (Like he could have won anyway SMH)

He will make the announcement sometime today. He hasn’t decided who he will endorse so now it’s just Hillary and Barack.
