Kobe Bryant aka the best player in the world has finally been named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player after 11 years of wowing us. It has been announced that Kobe was selected by the panel of sports writers as this season’s MVP and Chris Paul aka CP3 aka best point guard in this league was a close runner up. We are guessing that LeBron James was probably third runner up.
David Stern will present the MVP Trophy to Kobe next week in L.A. This is truly a fitting honor for a young man who has been playing at the highest level one can for quite some time now, but as with any sport accolades depend heavily on how you effect your team.
Kobe has been a prolific scorer for years now and is the closest thing to Michael Jordan that we have as far as creativity, consistency, passion, hunger, competitive drive, and playing both ends of the court. But what definitely propelled him in the eye of sports writers was the success his team enjoyed this season finishing #1 in a highly competitive Western Conference. Now the question that remains is whether or not he can elevate his team to the championship and win. If he accomplishes this it will add an extra notch of greatness to his career. Because since Shaq left many said that he would never win one again. Will he prove the masses wrong? What do you think sports fans? And do you think Kobe deserved MVP this season? Holla at us.
