50 most powerful people

Newsweek has compiled their list of 50 people whom they believe are the most powerful in the world. They feel the individuals selected will greatly impact the world in 2009. Barack Obama is #1 of course. Oprah Winfrey lands in at #47 on the list. But we have to wonder why a certain nefarious individual is even on this list. Osama Bin Laden is #42 on the list. We’re giving the serious side-eye on this one. Why is the mainstream media still giving this man that kind of power? No one can find him but he’s making Newsweeks’ 50 most powerful list? What kind of nonsense is that? We would think that since credible media outlets provide Osama with more coverage than a Beyonce tour, that someone would be able to locate him right? This man hasn’t been responsible for a quote un quote attack in years but they’re still keeping him relevant in the minds of the masses. Why is that?

Anyone have an answer for us? Sanaa Lathan slid in a nice black dress accompanied with black shoes, black toe and fingernail polish and stepped out to Nobu in Los Angeles for a salute to Young Hollywood. Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union, Dania Ramirez, Taye Diggs and Tyrese were also in attendance. Out of the ladies, who looked the best? Ladies between Taye and Tyrese who would you take?

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson has come out firing via his rep saying that the reports of him dying from a rare lung disease are completely fabricated. Thank goodness, because we don’t know what we would do if we couldn’t report on all of Michael’s erratic behavior. Sheeeit we might of just shut down MediaOutrage altogether.

After watching the surveillance tapes, Paris Hilton doesn’t believe a stranger burglarized her mansion. Come on Paris, we already knew that. She says whoever is responsible has probably been in the crib before.

Via E!online:

Having viewed her home surveillance tapes, Paris Hilton doesn’t think a stranger is responsible for burglarizing her Sherman Oaks, Calif., abode.

“I think whoever did this, definitely has been there before,” the ripped-off heiress told E! News Monday while perusing the racks at the L.A. boutique Intuition. “We have some suspects that I’m thinking of.”

Nearly $2 million worth of jewelry and personal items were stolen from Hilton’s recently purchased mansion early Friday morning, while the newly single socialite hung out at Hollywood hotspot Bar Deluxe. Read the rest of this entry »

Getting Broke Off Proper

Posted by Media Outrage on December 23, 2008

condoleeza-rice

Despite the fact that Condoleeza Rice is a member of one of the most crooked White House cabinets ever, she is still being broke off proper by some leaders in the Middle East who would probably like to piss down her boss’ throat. We guess being a thief attracts the benevolence of others. SMH. Nothing wrong with f*cking up the entire nation’s economy while sneaking out the White House with a nice nest egg for yourself, right? Of course not, this is America!

Via AP:

President George W. Bush‘s foreign policies may be unpopular in the Middle East, but Arab leaders showered his top diplomat with jewelry worth far more than a quarter of a million dollars last year. While Bush himself didn’t fare nearly as well, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice raked in at least $316,000 in gem-encrusted baubles from the kings of Jordan and Saudi Arabia alone, making her one of top recipients among U.S. officials of gifts from foreign heads of state and government and their aides in 2007.

In January, Jordan’s King Abdullah II gave Rice an emerald and diamond necklace, ring, bracelet and earrings estimated to be worth $147,000, according to the State Department’s annual inventory of such items released Monday just in time for Christmas. Read the rest of this entry »
