Not to rain on their parade, but how is this different from the myriad of Breast Cancer Awareness projects out there? I thought i was going to be asked for a donation, march or something.

Aw-well, attend and lend yourselves to this worthy cause if you can, also ladies bring your spouses, they need to know too, many times they are the ones that find it, when they are groping the melons or sucking on the lactose suppliers.

Good to see something uplifting and positive. A very good cause along with all the other cancer awareness groups. I lost my mother to cancer and there can never be too many of these groups working to defeat this deadly disease.

If you go to the Sisters Network Website http://www.sistersnetworkinc.org you will see that the organizationis the ONLY NATIONAL African American survivorship organization in the US. Studies prove that minority women are diagnosed with breast cancer less frequently than white women; however, they are dying at a higher rate. Why? Healthcare disparities due to many factors such as: not having insurance, access to physicians, not being educated on the disease, the lack of community and governmental support…the list goes on and on. So, this forum will bring awareness to a community that is greatly in need. The difference with this conference is that we are not asking for your money. IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE and includes nationally recongnized speakers, lunch, breakfast and live entertainment. This is how serious we are about providing information. I learned a long time ago that you can only buy things with a certain amount of money, but awareness and knowledge is PRICELESS. Join us in spreading the word about this event. With Much appreciation, Dr. J.

    Dr. J…

    1. In NOT in the US and have access to MANY other cancer groups in my location.

    2. “The difference with this conference is that we are not asking for your money. IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE and includes nationally recongnized speakers, lunch, breakfast and live entertainment. This is how serious we are about providing information.”… My POINT exactly! The title says a “A Must Read”, as if it’s something new/different, yet it’s the same ole’ same ole’. The ones in my part are free and have the same ‘benefits’.

    3. I did say “Aw-well, attend and lend yourselves to this worthy cause if you can, also ladies bring your spouses, they need to know too, many times they are the ones that find it, when they are groping the melons or sucking on the lactose suppliers” … so what’s your issue? *smh
