Some of Sherri Shepherd’s close industry friends came out to support her launch party last night at the Empire Hotel in NYC for her new Lifetime sitcom “Sherri.” Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Paula Patton, Al Sharpton, Lynn Whitfield, and Meghan McCain were all in the building for the festivities. Great for Sherri! We love to see people on the come up. How many of you will be watching besides DT? More pics when you Read the rest of this entry »

Oprah and Michelle Obama posed for some very beautiful pictures during Time’s 100 Most Influential People In The World, coctails and dinner in NYC. When Oprah’s in the building, you already know it’s important, but then add First Lady Michelle Obama, Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, Gayle King, Whoopi Goldberg, Suze Orman, Dr. Cornel West, Tavis Smiley, Joy Behar and John Legend and you have some of the names on Time’s 100 Most Influential People In The World list. It was heavy in there.

The wonderful ladies of The View were at the Times Center in NYC yesterday. How many of you tune in everyday to hear these women argue? Fellas, if you were tied up to a chair with a gun to your head and you had to make the choice to knock down one of these beauties, which one would you choose???

Star Jones spoke to Essence about how she was treated during her departure from the View in 2006. Here’s what went down according to her:
“Those girls were hateful,” Jones says of her former co-hosts.
Jones also opens up about “falling into a depression” after losing her self-titled Court TV show last year; her ongoing dispute with Barbara Walters (“Barbara set me up”); and her divorce from Al Reynolds, which was finalized in September. Read the rest of this entry »

The View’s Sherri Shepherd who is known for saying a thing or two that makes you go hmmm, did an interview with Christian Magazine “Precious Times” and had some interesting things to say about her past.
Shepherd tells the Christian women’s magazine “Precious Times” that she had such low self-esteem at one point that she was “sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count.”
Having a sister caught up in drug addiction only underscored Sherri’s feelings of being worthless.
Shepherd said, “My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses. I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn’t even make a difference.” But that changed when Shepherd started living for Jesus. “God showed me that it would make a difference,” she says.
Shepherd has often talked about how her Christian faith carried her through her difficult divorce from Jeff Tarpley, whom Sherri says got another woman pregnant.
Now that she’s on “The View,” Sherri wishes she was a better evangelist.
“Oh, sometimes I say, ‘Lord, Juanita Bynum or Joyce Meyer would be so good at this table. They could lay hands on Barbara Walters and get her saved,'”Shepherd told “Precious Times.”
Mediaoutrage– There it was! That signature classic Sherri Shepherd moment not that not laying hands on your boss LOL. “Oh, sometimes I say, ‘Lord, Juanita Bynum or Joyce Meyer would be so good at this table. They could lay hands on Barbara Walters and get her saved,'” LOL Gotta love her.

Things became extremely heated in yesterday’s episode of The View in which the panel of ladies discussed the use of the N word. Sherri Sheppard told Elisabeth Hassleback not to tell her that she can’t use the word. Sherri also told Barbara she didn’t want to hear that word ever come out of her mouth. Elisabeth tried to argue that the word shouldn’t be used by anyone but Whoopi shut her down and made her cry. We must say we don’t like Elisabeth at all. Something about her screams racist in our opinion and she’s a whiner we just wish someone would have said to her “b*tch stop that useless crying before we smack your hair follicles dark gray!” We really do dislike that broad.
Whoopi and Sherri told her correctly that the use of the word has a different meaning to Blacks than it does to any other race and people know why. People kill us when they act as if they grew up under a rock. Come on you know the deal and you also know that things aren’t equal in this country or the world for that matter so take that we are the world sh*t else where. Elisabeth there’s just certain words that you don’t use unless you’re ready to get your entire top row (teeth) removed street style. What do you guys think?

Barbara Walters is letting the truth be known with her oh so graceful ass. She was getting it in with a married black senator.
After three decades of keeping mum, Barbara Walters s disclosing a past affair with married U.S. Senator Edward Brooke, whom she remembers as “exciting” and “brilliant.”
Appearing on “Oprah Winfrey Show” scheduled to air Tuesday, Walters shares details of her relationship with Brooke that lasted several years in the 1970s, according to a transcript of the show provided to The Associated Press.
A moderate Republican from Massachusetts who took office in 1967, Brooke was the first African-American to be popularly elected to the Senate. Both he and Walters knew that public knowledge of their affair could have ruined his career as well as hers, Walters says. Read the rest of this entry »

Babwah, Whoopi, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Sherri Shepherd hit up the Paley Center for Media last night in NY. What an interesting cast of characters. Here’s a premonition: Sherri Shepherd might have back troubles in the future.

Barbara Walters is now on Myspace but as of now she doesn’t have any friends besides Tom and Chris DeWolf who both work for Myspace. She really wants some friends and said it will be depressing if none of the hundred some million Myspacers reach out to her. Her exact words….
“I am now on MySpace,” the broadcast veteran, 78, told her View co-producer Bill Geddie on Barbara Live, her weekly Sirius radio show.
“What would bother me is if nobody got in touch with me,” she admited. “What if … nobody wanted to be my friend. I would be very depressed.”
Checking the computer to see just how many friends she actually does have on her MySpace page, Geddie was forced to inform Walters she has only two: MySpace founders Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson.
“Nobody else wanted to be my friend?” said a disappointed Walters. “Nobody I went to high school with? … Nobody wanted to get in touch with me?”
Her sorrowful response prompted Geddie to offer a plea to listeners.
“If you’re out there on MySpace, become a friend with Barbara Walters because it’s so depressing to look at this,” he said. “Really – just go on, say you love her or something, I watch The View all the time – something like that.”
Said Walters, with tongue planted firmly in cheek , “And that’s for real that nobody wants to be my friend? What have I done?”
