Remy ma has been found guilty by a jury on 4 counts.
The verdict just came down in the Remy Ma trial, and the rapper has been convicted on four major charges — two counts of first-degree assault, attempted coercion, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The charges stem from a 2007 incident in which Remy shot a friend of hers after a fight over $3,000 in cash stolen from Remy’s purse. The defense tried to make the shooting an accident — but it looks like they didn’t quite convince the jury.
Remy was not found guilty of gang assault and witness tampering, among the nine total charges she faced. We’re told the victim’s friends and family taunted Remy when the verdicts were read — full pandemonium in the courtroom.
Remy could face up from five to 25 years in prison at sentencing.
Mediaoutrage– She’s probably being tailor fitted right now for some nice bright orange threads.

Allhiphop is reporting that Remy Ma and Papoose are engaged to be married this summer if all goes well and Remy doesn’t get sent away for allegedly shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the abdomen after accusing her of stealing $2,000 from her purse. This seems to be a match made in controversial heaven as Papoose recently got into a physical altercation with Fat Joe who was Remy’s label head. Remy also accused Fat Joe of hindering her career. So maybe this fight had more to it than just Pap supposedly snickering at 50’s jokes about Fat Joe on G-Unit radio.

Lil’ Kim was on G-Unit radio the other day and took more shots at Remy Ma. She actually tried to explain how the beef started. She said that when her homies sit around and talk about Remy they say who would you rather hit? Remy Ma or a Tranny? and most of her boys say a tranny. Listen Here.

Remy Ma’s accuser has now upgraded her lawsuit from $20million to $80million. She’s wildin for thinking that she will even get a fraction of that, anyway back to the news. Makeda Barnes-Joseph maintains that Remy Ma shot her twice in the abdomen on the night of July 14th for allegedly stealing $2,000 out of her purse.
“Universal Music Group and Sure Shot Recordings are are also named in the suit for helping cultivate Remy’s image.
Joseph’s attorney Lauren P. Raysor issued a statement to the Voice, which said, “Only by pursuing those who we believe are legally responsible for this vicious and callous act of violence, can we hope to put an end to this senseless cycle of violence that is glorified by Hip-Hop marketing.”
The wounds Joseph sustained from the shooting have resulted in three surgeries and frequent hospital visits.
Remy Ma’s lawyer said that the suit shows Joseph’s true motivation. Remy’s attorney Ivan Fischer told reporter Chloé A. Hilliard, “It strikes me that this is part of a publicity stunt. The claims she makes are inaccurate. She reaches into every conceivable deep pocket…It’s grossly irresponsible.”
This suit is an upgrade from a similar suit levied last month in the sum of $20 million.
Remy Ma has proclaimed in innocence in the shooting case.”
$80 million??? She’s grasping but then again if that really took place and she is handicapped from that then she deserves loot.

Remy Ma accused her longtime friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph of stealing $2,000 out of her purse on the night of July 14 after her and entourage left a party in New York city’s Greenwich Village in which the altercation ended in gunfire with Remy Ma allegedly shooting Joseph twice in the abdomen.
According to the lawsuit, Barnes-Joseph had hosted a birthday party for a friend, which Rem also attended. Outside, after the party, the rapper approached Barnes-Joseph’s car with a gun. Remy opened the passenger door of Barnes-Joseph’s car, pointed a gun at her and demanded that Barnes-Joseph dump the contents of her purse.
When Barnes-Joseph refused, Remy allegedly shot her twice and then rummaged through the bag herself, while the shooting victim bled. When Rem didn’t find anything, she threw the contents aside and fled without calling for help.
Remy Ma has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges filed in connection with the shooting and her lawyer chocked the claims up to no more than a publicity stunt.
“[The lawsuit] appears to be a publicity stunt consistent with the way Ms. Barnes and her lawyer have, together with their publicist, been attempting to claim 15 minutes of fame on account of a terrible accident,” said Rem’s attorney, Ivan Fisher.
But Barnes-Joseph says her injuries are real.
She had to undergo surgery and blood transfusions while recovering and she remains disabled, fearful, anxious and depressed and still unable to return to work, according to the lawsuit. The suit also claims that because her injuries will require continuing medical treatment, Barnes-Joseph is entitled to at least $20 million in damages.
Meanwhile, Remy’s feeling the affects, too. The rapper is hurting for show bookings and a would-be recording contracted has been put on pause until her legal woes are resolved.
Remy is currently free on $250,000 bail.”
Definitely an example of when keeping it real goes terribly wrong….

Remy Ma spoke about Fat Joe in her interview with XXL Magazine.
With all the talk about you, it was surprising that your solo album didn’t sell well. Is that why you wanted out of your deal?
If you feel I’m not making you any money, and I feel you’re not making me any money, let’s part ways. I’m not blaming Joe for my album sales, I’m just over and done with it. I wasn’t happy with the way things were being marketed and promoted… And it wasn’t no big deal. Universal signed the papers. Steve Rifkind signed the papers. But for 11 months I was going through paperwork with Joe. He put a “no G-Unit” clause in the papers. How are you involving my career in your personal grudges? If I’m not with you, why can’t I do what I want?
So to get out of the contract, you had to sign that you wouldn’t work with anyone from G-Unit?
Everybody’s like, “Are you serious?!” And then everyone laughs. I’m telling you, their government names [are all in the paperwork], like even Prodigy, Havoc, Whoo Kid, Olivia, Hot Rod! I don’t even know this guy Hot Rod! Young Buck, Yayo. It’s like, “Calm down, are you that pressed?” It’s so petty… Am I saying to him, “You can’t do any songs with Lil’ Kim or Foxy Brown”?
You can’t collaborate with anyone from that crew forever?
For three years. So Joe’s checking their charts, calculating, like, hopefully in three years G-Unit fell off.
Dag Joe sounds like you have some insecurity issues. You know if she rolled to G-Unit that she might go platinum and you can’t have that. And the other day Remy had some strong words for Lil’ Kim in light of Kim’s diss song towards her on the 50 Cent ‘I get money’ beat.
Remy Ma’s words….
“That little boy better live me alone.”
“Like, how could you be conceited, you don’t even like your own face.”
“You don’t like your nose, you don’t like your cheek , you don’t like your chin, you don’t like your skin color, you don’t like your tits , you don’t like your stomach, you don’t like your teeth.”
“When I feel like someone’s getting at me, then I’ll drag them all over the first spot that I see them…like this chic has more ghostwriters than Foxy. I just feel like right now she’s reaching.”
“Who do you think would win in a fist fight? Lets take it to a whole different level.”
