Rev. Jeremiah Wright spoke at his former church in Chicago this weekend, and addressed all of the attacks from the media and how Barack distanced himself during the attacks.

In a sermon delivered Sunday at his old stomping ground, Barack Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright referred to one of his harshest critics, Elisabeth Hasselbeck of ABC’s “The View,” as “that dumb broad.”

Villified By The Media

Rev. Jeremiah Wright expressed some thoughts about how the media villified him and attempted to assassinate his character. Wright also spoke candidly about Barack Obama’s historical win.

In Chicago, Rev. Jeremiah Wright spoke for two hours with WVON’s Cliff Kelley on everything from being glad that Obama was elected to the way he was portrayed in the media. He made his most extensive comments to date about Barack Obama and the race for the presidency during a radio interview Tuesday evening.

 

     In his interview he insisted that the person that America grew accustomed to seeing — portrayed in snippets of past sermons — isn’t who he really is and even as he watched with pride on election night, he said he’s disappointed to still find himself as fodder for the media.

Assassinated for telling the truth

A few months ago Foxnews decided to play snippets of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s sermons that seemed to depict him preaching hate and anti patriotism. At first it was only Foxnews and some of their racist people inundating unsuspecting viewers with sound bites of messages that when heard led millions to assume Rev. Jeremiah Wright was an angry, racist, anti-American, hate spewing preacher, who just happened (Just happened) to be Sen. Barack Obama’s Pastor. Foxnews new very well what they were doing, which was attempting to assassinate Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s character, thus, hurting Barack Obama (since they haven’t been able to find anything on him yet) in the public eye.

It was sort of surprising to see how the media ran with this weak story and never once played his full sermons for the people to actually hear what he was really saying. Any statements taken out of context can easily be painted as malicious or nefarious. Rev. Wright was attacked for saying that the U.S. Government launched terrorist attacks on other countries, and that 9/11 was possibly the result of the spiritual law (that does exist folks) “GOD is not mock, whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” That simply means that you get back what you put out. He was also attacked for saying that the Government could have possibly created the AIDS virus and injected it into peoples of color, and he supported his theory with the FACT that the US Government during the Tuskegee Experiement in which black men were injected with certain STDs. And why does this surprise anyone possessing the knowledge of the racist history of this country? Some people probably find it unbelievable when they read about how African Americans were treated in this country since the inhumane institution of Slavery but that doesn’t make it untrue.
