USA Basketball Team Brings Home The Gold

The USA men’s basketball team did it’s country very proud by defeating Spain in a 118-107 victory. Kobe Bryant was a key component of the win as he scored 13 of his 20points in the 4th quarter. Nothing surprising there, as Kobe is the best clutch player in the world since Michael Jordan retired. Congrats to the USA Men’s Team for bringing home the gold once again. Jason Kidd traded to Dallas

The deal has been done and Jay Kidd should be in a Dallas uniform tonight.

“with Kidd, forward Malik Allen and swingman Antoine Wright going from New Jersey to Dallas in exchange for 24-year-old point guard Devin Harris, forwards DeSagana Diop and Trenton Hassell, guard Maurice Ager, two future first-round draft picks, $3 million and semi-retired former Net Keith Van Horn, whose rights the Mavericks own.

The latest holdup was due to the fact that Van Horn had to agree to report to Nets camp even if he has no intention of playing for the team. In order to include him in the deal, the Mavericks signed him to a three-year contract, with $4.3 million guaranteed this season. Since the league wants to be sure there are no salary cap shenanigans going on, it is requiring Van Horn to stay with the Nets for at least a month.

Though Van Horn would receive a huge payoff for doing virtually nothing, there was no guarantee he was going to be willing to agree. Since he’s already earned more than $80 million over the course of nine seasons, money may not be an issue for him. However, it looks as if he’s now a willing participant.”

The deal should be approved by the NBA today during a conference call and the trade will be officially announced later today. We guess this will improve the Mavericks. They are giving up a lot for Jay Kidd.

Jay-Z’s all-star weekend party

Jay-Z and LeBron James threw their 2nd Annual Two Kings dinner last night in New Orleans for NBA All-Star Weekend. Everybody and they momma came out well the ones with power and money did. Kenneth and Kathryn Chenault (Kenneth Chenault is CEO of American Express yes a big wig). Debra Lee head of BET, Steve Stoute CEO of Translation Marketing, Ahmad Rashad and his billionaire wife, of course future of the NBA LeBron James. But Jay had everyone throwing up the ROC sign even the executives from Wrigley.

Model sues Jason Kidd for alleged groping

A 23-year-old model has filed a lawsuit accusing New Jersey Nets star Jason Kidd of groping and threatening her at a Manhattan nightclub two months ago.

A spokesman for Kidd denied the allegations as a “false” and “defamatory” attempt to get money from the player who earns almost $20 million a year.

The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan‘s state Supreme Court, said Kidd “battered and assaulted” the woman in the Lower West Side club Tenjune on Oct. 10 when he “grabbed her buttocks and crotch on multiple occasions.”

“He kept staring at her and then went over and grabbed her butt,” the woman’s lawyer, Russell S. Adler, said Friday.

He said, “She told him ‘Get off me! Get away from me!'” before bouncers pulled Kidd away.

Words were exchanged and Kidd grabbed the woman again, pushing her against a wall and putting his hand under her dress, Adler said. When she protested, the lawyer said, Kidd asked, “If we have a fight, who do you think is going to win?”

Adler said that when his client tried to send a text message, Kidd slapped her cell phone out of her hand. Adler said she left the club in the Meatpacking District a short time after that.

The woman’s lawsuit asks for unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Kidd’s lawyer, Paul Grand, issued a statement that said, “We have not yet seen the complaint, but these claims were false when they were first fabricated two months ago, and they remain false today. This lawsuit is nothing more than a brazen and defamatory search for a payout.”
