Cuba residents get their first computers

Posted by Media Outrage on May 3, 2008

This is a very interesting story. Cuba just received a mass influx of computers that were made available to the public yesterday. So yes Cuba residents have never had computers which was a complete shock to us. But the thing is that most of the residents will not be able to afford them. We also found out that the country not too long ago received their first cell phones that were made available to the public.

In this day and age of digital everything, it is completely mind boggling to imagine entire countries and nations that are devoid of technology. We understand these nations exist but when you live in a country that has the best of everything, your mind tends to forget that this lavish lifestyle is not being enjoyed everywhere. We say everyone who wakes up each morning especially if you live in America should have a heart full of gratitude for having access to the abundance of opportunities. We know that Oprah Winfrey said years ago that each night she takes some time to quietly reflect on her many blessings and say thank you. We all take so much for granted until you see the conditions that others actually live in. So take a little time to be grateful.

Mystery man gives couple $100,000

Posted by Media Outrage on February 5, 2008

A young married couple in Iowa was at a bar/restaurant when an older man walked over to their table and asked if they had kids in which they responded “yes”. He then proceeded to ask them how much money they would want and he told them to write the number down on a blank check, so they jokingly wrote in $100,000. He told them he was good for it and to go to the bank and cash it when they got a chance, but their were only 3 conditions.

1. He remain anonymous.

2. They buy a house.

3. They name their next child after him.

They definitely should have asked for like $20million. Very interesting story showing that people still have the ability to do good and make someone’s day. Oprah does it all of the time but besides her. That’s what’s up so what are you going to do today to make someone else’s day brighter???

Watch it for yourself here.

How he became a millionaire by 28

Posted by Media Outrage on December 30, 2007

Alan Corey and Sadia Perveen

This is the real life story of how a regular joe named Alan Corey (his girlfriend Sadia Perveen in the above picture) became a millionaire by age 28.

The former Walton High basketball star in east Cobb and University of Georgia graduate has always been jazzed by seemingly impossible challenges.

His first goal after college was to get a job in New York.

It took a couple of months.

His second: to become a millionaire by age 30.

He did it at 28.

His third, to write a book. He’s done that, too.

The Random House title: “A Million Bucks by 30: How to Overcome a Crap Job, Stingy Parents and a Useless Degree to Become a Millionaire Before (Or After) Turning 30.”

Here’s how he did it. Read the rest of this entry »
