The gang was all together the other night for Eminem’s book release party in NYC. Em’s book is entitled “The Way I Am.” If Em’s sharing his life in the pages then there should be plenty of pill poppin’ excitement. LL is still ripped as hell and looking quite young. G-Unit compadres Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks were in the building. We can say that after purchasing Lloyd Banks’ last album The Rotten Apple, it was truly one of the wackest albums ever put on a best buy shelf.

makeup to throw on a guy before going on TV? Well we do know that everyone who appears on tv is given like a pound of makeup but in these pics it looks like somebody went to sleep and kept applying and applying to LL’s face. If you look at 50 it doesn’t look like they spent anytime on him. Well anyway 50 and LL both hit up MTV’s “TRL” yesterday. Ladies if you had to make a choice which one would you jump off?

VMA Arrivals

As we all know the VMA Awards aired last night. Here are some of the red carpet arrivals. Are you feeling Solange’s outfit this time? (Lawd we’ve heard more no’s on that question pertaining to her than we have on Meagan Good). Kobe and Vanessa hit the carpet nice and strong. Oh by the way Kobe will be on Oprah’s season premiere this week showcasing all of the USA Gold Medal winners. Only Oprah could pull something like this off. So we know right about now Sarah Palin is trying to stab her hand in disgust because Oprah basically told her to suck her invisible non-existant nutz in regards to her making a before election appearance on the most coveted couch in all of show biz. And we’d like to second that motion! Hey Sarah suck our invisible nutz! cause you nor your great grandpop are going to the white house you lying “ho” LOL! Ok now back to business. Party In The Hamptons

Music executive LA Reid threw a swanky party at a posh private residence in the Hamptons a few days ago in which Gayle King who is Oprah’s BFF attended looking rather graceful. Mariah and Nick were all smiles at the party. Star Jones, Mary J. Blige husband Kendu, Ciara, LL, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos, Jessica Seinfeld, Samuel Jackson and wife LaTanya Richardson and Tyler Perry all attended.

Day of reckoning

Today is the day of Reckoning in which Nas’s long awaited self entitled album “Nas” which was previously titled “N*gger” hits stores. Are you going to cop it to see what knowledge nuggets he’s embedded into this project? We are actually surprised that in the weeks and days that leading up to the anticipated release there hasn’t been more promotion. Well anyway Nas hit up 106 & Park yesterday as did LL and singer Tiffany Evans (you might want to YouTube her) and check it there was still no Rocsi. SMH.

Coupled up

Sanaa Lathan who is still the most naturally beautiful actress in Hollywood was all smiles with her man, NFL player Adewale Qgunleye, as they were photographed at the 2008 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans at the Superdome. We can read some of you women’s minds right now as you’re reading this: “About time she got her own man and stopped A Keysin it up.” Bookman from Goodtimes and Bill Cosby were spotted busting it up. Tichina Arnold, Solange who looked flawless, Jill Scott, Patti LaBelle got her performance crackin, Boris Kojdoe and Keishia Knight Pulliam were spotted bugging out and Lynn Whitfield who looks like if one more morsel of calorie travels to her dome piece we’ll have a splattered human bobble head on our hands, also attended.

BET Awards Show

The 2008 BET Awards show went down last night and was packed full of performances which some call boring as hell and others pretty live. Which category do you fall in? Chris Brown and Ciara did their thing, and so did Ms. Alicia Keys who we would say had one of the best performances by bringing out SWV who sorry to say sounded like a man screaming while getting his ballz ripped off. Not a good look. But it was good to see Alicia bring them out. Al Green also was the man of the night as he set the place on fire with his many hits including Love and Happiness. The whole auditorium was rocking and two stepping. It was also dope to see A. Keys bring out TLC.

BET Awards Arrivals

The BET Awards popped off last night. Everyone and they great grandmom was in the place for the festivities. In our opinion everyone who strolled the red carpet was up to par fashion wise maybe with the exception of a very few. We’ll let you dish out the names of those who deserved to be written fashion tickets for violating the fashion laws and doing they own ish. We must say that MC Lyte did the bomb job as the MC of the night.

CFDA Fashion Awards

Lil Kim was looking nice as she hit up the CFDA Fashion Awards yesterday in NY. We just want Surgical Addiction to give the knife a rest, or at least let us get used to the latest face for a good year before they make the switch. Paula Patton (who one of our readers said looks white sometimes and then black others lol) was looking her regular beautiful self. Diddy, LL, Tony Parker wife Eva Longoria, and Eva Mendes all stopped through the festivities.
