Actors Ricky Harris, Lamman Rucker, and Kel Mitchell volunteered their time for the Stephanie Starks (pictured above) HOPE Foundation Celebrity Read Aloud Tour at the Woodcrest Elementary School in Los Angeles. That is commendable of all of them. It’s great to see celebrities getting involved in the lives of our young people that look up to them anyway.

Paris Hilton’s Mansion Robbed

A hooded burgular broke into Paris Hilton’s mansion and made off with $2 million worth of jewels. According to Los Angeles police the break in happened around 5 am. Detectives say that a hooded man with gloves broke into the estate and ransacked her bedroom before making off with the estimated $2 million in jewels. At around 5am Friday officers received a call from a security gaurd who reported that Paris Hilton’s residence had been broken into.

We wonder if this was an inside job. Why just go for her bedroom?

Mother of Palin’s Daughter’s Baby Daddy Arrested

Sherry Johnston who is the mother of Bristol Palin’s boyfriend/baby daddy was arrested on drug charges.

Alaska state troopers have arrested the mother of Bristol Palin’s boyfriend on drug charges.

Sherry L. Johnston was arrested Thursday after troopers served a search warrant on a Wasilla home. The 42-year-old Johnston has been charged with six felony drug counts.

Troopers did not identify the drug involved in a brief mention on the agency’s Web site.

Johnston is the mother of 18-year-old Levi Johnston. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the GOP nominee for vice president, announced in September that her 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, was pregnant and Johnston was the father.

Sherry Johnston was released from jail in Palmer on $5,000 bail.

Getting Sued

New York Knicks Center Eddie Curry is being sued by Casual Male for $41,000 worth of unpaid clothes. Two years ago he ran up that tab and it still remains unpaid.

”It’s just a matter of him buying clothing he didn’t pay for,” said Edward Margolis, the attorney representing Casual Male and Jared M. Custom Clothing, a business popular with professional athletes that once was owned by Casual Male.

Purchases on Curry’s shopping trips, which occurred between January and April 2006, included $22,000 in suits, eight sweaters ranging from a $750 wool crew-neck to a $1,390 cashmere V-neck and more than $3,700 in ties.

The company also wants an additional $5,424 in interest.
