Even after 5 years of retirement from the NBA Michael Jordan is still leading the league in Jersey sales. The NBA store reported that Jordan’s jersey is the best-selling in the history of the NBA store. Guess who’s #2, yep you guessed it Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson is #3, and LeBron James is #4. So even retired this guys is still killing the game and earning millions for the NBA and economy.

The race for MVP

Posted by Media Outrage on March 27, 2008

Kobe BryantLeBron JamesChris Paul

With only about 20 games left this season there are two races going on; the race for a playoff spot and the race for the league’s Most Valuable Player. The past few seasons MVP award has went to Steve Nash even though we personally believe that Kobe should have won last year and the year before when he dropped 81points against Toronto.

Right now 3 candidates come to mind when discussing the award and they are Lebron James, Chris Paul, and Kobe Bryant. Lebron is having an excellent year but he doesn’t deserve to win because his team is currently 4th in the Eastern Conference standings which is the weaker of the two conferences.

Chris Paul is doing his thing and has his team in the number 1 spot with a record of 49-21. That is saying a lot for a team that really doesn’t seem to have the talent to be number one. That spot is going to continue to vacillate due to the close records and tough competition in that conference.

Kobe Bryant is having another excellent year, and due to the additions like Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher, and the strong play of the injured Bynum the Lakers are looking like they could possibly come out of the west. So we must say that if the season were to end today our vote would go to Kobe Bryant who is still the best player in the world since Michael Jordan retired.

Vivica Fox: I don’t look like some freak!

Posted by Media Outrage on March 27, 2008

Vivica

Here’s what Vivica Fox had to say in a recent interview with Upscale Magazine about plastic surgery:

Will you ever address the rumors of plastic surgery?
I feel like I have already addressed that back in the day. I just hate that I admitted to it and people will say on the Internet that I don’t look the same, “Oh, she is so plastic surgeried.” I don’t look like some freak. I still look like Vivica Fox. Stop it with that! I am in a business where I get paid to look good, but I’m very proud to have African-American features. I have not changed my nose! Yeah, I have experimented with it, but no, I’m not doing any more of that plastic surgery crap. I’m not the first or the only one, but I’m the idiot that admitted to it. Now everyone says, “That is her whole look.” I take care of myself.

How do you feel about the new Internet culture where you are being watched every minute?
I think it is ridiculous. I think it is toxic. I think it is such a negative force of people that spread lies and rumors. It is no longer fun being a celebrity anymore. You can’t even go to the grocery store or get a Starbucks, or have a bad hair day or just be human without somebody having to judge and watching your every move. That is the part that I can’t stand about the Internet, that there is no longer privacy and our privacy is invaded at any single moment. At any single moment a stranger can make up something about you. It bothers the living daylights out of me that people look more towards the negative than the positive. I have thick skin and I know it’s nothing but the haters.

Vivica even if you hadn’t admitted to having plastic surgery, even Stevie could see with his shades on that you went under a few knives.

Remy Ma

Remy ma has been found guilty by a jury on 4 counts.

Via TMZ:

The verdict just came down in the Remy Ma trial, and the rapper has been convicted on four major charges — two counts of first-degree assault, attempted coercion, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The charges stem from a 2007 incident in which Remy shot a friend of hers after a fight over $3,000 in cash stolen from Remy’s purse. The defense tried to make the shooting an accident — but it looks like they didn’t quite convince the jury.

Remy was not found guilty of gang assault and witness tampering, among the nine total charges she faced. We’re told the victim’s friends and family taunted Remy when the verdicts were read — full pandemonium in the courtroom.

Remy could face up from five to 25 years in prison at sentencing.

Mediaoutrage– She’s probably being tailor fitted right now for some nice bright orange threads.

Wendy Williams

SOHH is reporting that there is a possibility that Gossip Queen Wendy Williams will be suspended from her position on the Wendy Williams Show indefinitely due to the scandal of alleged harassment and physical abuse that was reported by talent booker Nicole Spence. We don’t know about this because Wendy makes dough for real and she’s syndicated all across the country so to remove her by suspension would be a major blow to WBLS. Money talks.

T.I. will plead guilty to the weapons charges.

Via AP:

Rapper T.I. was expected to plead guilty Thursday to federal weapons charges and will face prison time, according to two people familiar with his case.

The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was expected to be sentenced to 1,500 hours of community service talking to youth groups around the country, followed by about 12 months in prison, according to two people familiar with the negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plea deal had not been finalized yet Thursday morning.

He was charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He faced a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.

Harris was allegedly trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers. He initially pleaded not guilty, and has been under house arrest since he was released on $3 million bond Oct. 26.

LA Times apologizes to Diddy and Jimmy ‘Henchman’ for false article

Posted by Media Outrage on March 27, 2008

Diddy

After The Smoking Gun put James Sabatino on blast for being a con man and pathological liar, who probably forged the documents that were submitted to LA Times writer Chuck Phillips, as evidence for his conspiracy theory article, in which he accused Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemond and the late Notorious B.I.G. of having pre knowledge of the Tupac ambush, the La Times has issued a formal apology to them for not doing a thorough investigation of the forged documents and basically for slandering the hell out of their names. Here’s what writer Chuck Phillips and his supervisor, Deputy Managing Editor Marc Duvoism had to say in apologies issued on Wednesday afternoon about the debacle….

“In relying on documents that I now believe were fake, I failed to do my job,” Philips said in a statement Wednesday. “I’m sorry.”

In his statement, Duvoisin added: “We should not have let ourselves be fooled. That we were is as much my fault as Chuck’s. I deeply regret that we let our readers down.”

Times Editor Russ Stanton:

Times Editor Russ Stanton announced that the newspaper would launch an internal review of the documents and the reporting surrounding the story. Stanton said he took the criticisms of the March 17 report “very seriously.”

“We published this story with the sincere belief that the documents were genuine, but our good intentions are beside the point,” Stanton said in a statement.

“The bottom line is that the documents we relied on should not have been used. We apologize both to our readers and to those referenced in the documents and, as a result, in the story. We are continuing to investigate this matter and will fulfill our journalistic responsibility for critical self-examination.”

Now the question is will Diddy and Rosemond pursue legal action despite the apology. Would you???
